In Feb 2001 I took a tour at JSC and was able to visit the hanger where the
X38 is being developed. The X38 will be the lifeboat for the ISS in the event of
a major failure on the station. At present the ISS uses a Soyuz vehicle as its
lifeboat - this limits the active crew to three people.
